The short answer is no. You need to wear an SPF throughout the year, every day preferably. The sun’s harmful UVA rays are the same strength all year round and even when you can’t see the sun, it doesn’t mean its rays aren’t getting through.
Products containing SPF will protect your skin from the sun’s damaging effects and prevent the development of wrinkles, age spots, hyperpigmentation and redness. It is best to add sunscreen ( or a moisturiser containing an SPF) as the final step in your skin care routine to ensure that your face is always protected, but you should also apply it to any areas of the body that are going to be exposed like your hands and neck.
