Tackle everything from the early signs of ageing to large pores and breakouts with the new Pure Retin Oil from Akademikliniken.

This intensive facial oil is infused with a variety of Vitamin A derivatives, including Bakuchiol and Hexyl Resorcinol, to actively stimulate cell turnover while Liquorice Root Extract brightens dark spots. To help minimise redness and irritation, this product also contains a blend of conditioning oils including Almond, Squalane and Jojoba, to keep skin plump and soft. Quick to absorb and generally tolerated by most skin types, this overnight treatment is ideal for correcting problem skin and sun damage.

Suitable for most skin types, massage 3-5 drops into cleansed skin in the evening for best results. Can also be mixed with a moisturiser.

Massage 3-5 drops onto cleansed skin after applying a serum. For best results, apply while the skin is still a little damp. Can also be mixed with a moisturiser. Apply in the evening a couple of nights a week and gradually build up the number of applications.

Patch Test

If you are new to this product or any of its ingredients, we recommend completing a patch test first.

Use of Retinol

When using Retinol for the first time, it is important to allow the skin time to acclimatise to the active ingredient. Apply a small amount in the evening no more than twice a week, never on consecutive evenings, for at least two weeks. If the skin hasn’t suffered any extreme irritation or redness, start to increase the number of applications gradually over a period of weeks until you reach a number your skin is comfortable with. This could range from three nights to seven nights a week.

As Retinol can make the skin sensitive to sunlight, always apply a sunscreen to the skin every morning to prevent sun-induced inflammation and damage.
