Using an advanced delivery system usually reserved for pharmaceuticals, the PCA Skin Intensive Age-Refining Treatment 0.5% Pure Retinol Night promises to transform the appearance of ageing skin.

Formulated with a tolerable concentration of Vitamin A, alongside barrier-strengthening Niacinamide and Orange Stem Cell Extract, this lightweight serum promises to tackle uneven tone, wrinkles and slackness without causing irritation. It manages to do this thanks to a patented 10 hour time-release delivery system, which stabilises the active ingredients and helps them penetrate the skin effectively during the night. With continued use, skin becomes more radiant, even, clear and youthful.

Suitable for normal, dry and combination skin types, apply a small amount to cleansed skin in the evening twice a week for best results. Depending on skin’s tolerance, increase usage gradually until it is used nightly.

Apply a pea-sized amount to the skin after cleansing and toning in the evening twice a week. Follow with a moisturiser for best results. Gradually increase usage to every other night before reaching nightly application, depending on skin's tolerance.

Use of Retinol

When using Retinol for the first time, it is important to allow the skin time to acclimatise to the active ingredient. Apply a small amount in the evening no more than twice a week, never on consecutive evenings, for at least two weeks. If the skin hasn’t suffered any extreme irritation or redness, start to increase the number of applications gradually over a period of weeks until you reach a number your skin is comfortable with. This could range from three nights to seven nights a week.

As Retinol can make the skin sensitive to sunlight, always apply a sunscreen to the skin every morning to prevent sun-induced inflammation and damage.
