Dark Circles

Treat and conceal under-eye discolouration

If the first thing you notice when you look in the mirror is dark circles under your eyes then you are not alone, as this is one of the most common concerns for both women and men in the UK. Often associated with too many late nights, under-eye circles are actually the result of broken blood vessels showing through the thin, delicate skin below the eyes.

Dark circles can become worse with age or repeated sun exposure but there are products out there to combat discolouration for a brighter, more wide awake eye area.

Because the skin around the eyes is very fragile, it is important that you stick to products that are lightweight in texture but still pack a punch in terms of ingredients to ensure that you get results without overwhelming the skin.

While skin care products help to combat under eye darkness, make-up (especially concealer) is the dark circle sufferer’s best friend with illuminating formulas being especially effective at brightening darkness underneath and around the eyes. Correcting concealers are another great option for hiding dark circles as they provide more of a natural coverage for those who don’t like to wear a lot of make-up. As dark circles tend to be deep purple and blue in tone, look for peachy toned concealers to neutralise this colour and create a more uniform skin tone.
