Products to soothe and repair

Eczema is a very common skin condition but particularly so amongst young children. It is an inflammatory dry skin condition that can be triggered by allergies which means that sufferers often have asthma and hay fever too.

Eczema develops when there isn’t enough oil in the skin which means it cracks, becomes irritated and then becomes vulnerable to damage. The key is to repair the skin’s barrier so that Eczema cannot form.

Eczema can form on any part of the body but is most common on the backs of knees and on the inside of elbows, generally anywhere on the body that bends. This can lead to further irritation so it’s important to start treating Eczema as soon as you can. There is no cure for Eczema which is why treating it regularly, particularly during flare ups, is vital to keep skin as healthy as possible.
